Hyvolution 2023 | Feb 1-2 | Paris, France
PUNCH Hydrocells joins Hyvolution 2023, the Europe’s leading hydrogen event which registered an unprecedent buzz
On February 1 st and 2 nd 2023, PUNCH Hydrocells took part as exhibitor at the Hyvolution
2023, held in Paris Porte de Versailles.
Hyvolution is the trade show of experts dedicated to hydrogen which creates opportunities
for new partnerships operating in the mobility, energy and manufacturing industries: with
400 exhibitors and more than 7800 visitors, the 2023 edition of the event asserted itself as
the go-to European nexus of the political and economic discussion around hydrogen
“The Hyvolution event was very successful for our company, and went beyond my
expectations” said Ruggero Morreale, Business Assistant to the COO at PUNCH Hydrocells.
“The entire value chain was represented and it has been great to meet many likeminded
industry players, working to bring to the market viable solutions to decarbonize and kick
start the hydrogen economy”
“A strong energy boost thanks to the great interest of many people coming at our booth”
stated Roberto Golisano, Chief Engineer and Program Manager for H2-ICE in PUNCH
Oliver Nass, Sales and Marketing Director at PUNCH Group, said that “Hyvolution has shown
that the H2 industry is on the move” and added: “Our H2 engine has captured some great
Great attention was, indeed, observed towards the Hydrogen Engine V8 6.6l PFI, which was
displayed at the PUNCH Hydrocells stand.
Suitable for off-highway, stationary and marine applications, the PUNCH Hydrocells
Hydrogen Engine is capable to achieve a maximum power of 250kW at 3000 rpm and a
maximum torque of 850 Nm at 2000 ppm. Starting from a proven V8 6.6L Diesel engine,
PUNCH Hydrocells adapted it to run on 100% hydrogen. The engine variant for genset
application provides a nominal power of 100kW @1500 rpm (50Hz) and 110kW @ 1800rpm
(60Hz) with efficiency aligned to state-of-the-art engines.
This solution is a very attractive proposition for decarbonization challenge: in fact, it keeps
the efficiency and convenience of existing Diesel engines, including their wide industrial
footprint, servicing network and existing skilled workforce, while reducing carbon emissions
As Wolfgang de Loth, PUNCH Group’s Business Development Manager, said: “The large
number of exhibitors and visitors showed how important this topic will become in the
future. In addition to all-electric solutions for the mobility of the future, hydrogen remains a
very useful supplement for energy-intensive industries (e.g. mining and construction), but
also for the long-distance transport of goods and people”.
